I have always thought that, in the long run, we will show we are more than just meat suits with minds; we are the species that creates art. Visual, musical, literary — we have this gift, and it is up to us to give art a long life so we can delight in the best part of ourselves.
Art is the finest product a human being can create; art moves our lives, allows us beauty, freely inspires, and takes us away from the dullness of reality. Art is artifice, an imitation of life, an iteration of life, so to speak. It is creation. Art is magic, and magic is the creation of something from nothing.
And for the artistic zodiac signs in astrology, their craft is a way of life. When one person claims to be bored, the artist is never bored. When one person searches for a lifetime for purpose and direction, the artist was born with purpose and direction: Be an artist and create art — that's all of it.
Unfortunately, we live in a world where art is never compensated for its worth. An ironic little lesson we all tend to get when we're young?: "You can do anything you want! You're an artist, a genius! Go show the world what you can do!" And then, the world says, "Oooh, pretty" and that's the end of that transaction.
Being an artist makes no money... talk about wrongness. Art gives us new life, new inspiration, beauty, magic, escape, and what do artists get for their trouble? Nothing. So, who are the most artistic zodiac signs?
1. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
More of a hobbyist than an actual talent, Libra is great when it comes to wasting time with a good art project. They may not be good at it, but they do try.
They love model airplanes and all the other assorted knickknacks of the art world. Creative and ambitious, Libra may never be great, but mediocrity is a good place for them to get their love for small crafts projects on.
2. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries has a very sincere need for newness and innovation, which lead them to make some truly interesting career choices. You'll find Aries in the fields of both visual and literary arts, mostly in positions of authority.
They love structure and form, and when an Aries is involved with a creative project, they put their all into it. Perfectionism works for them here, not to mention an honest love of what they're doing.
3. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
If only a person could live on art alone... If such a thing could happen, that person would be a Sagittarius. This zodiac sign sees everything as art, and while they themselves are also very good at creating the stuff — both visual and musical — they are also very good at perceiving beauty in just about everything.
A Sagittarius can see the beauty in death as well as in all of life. The world presents as a beautiful and terrible place for Sag, but it's always artistic, as they are.
4. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo doesn't just do art — they do art well, with determination and a touch of perfectionism. When Leo takes the stage, all eyes are on this gifted individual; they are artists of the screen and stage.
They make up our entertainment quota for a lifetime. Nobody can show you a good time like Leo, especially if that good time consists of a theatrical event where Leo is the star.
5. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Incredibly creative, multi-talented people, possibly the most gifted sign of them all in terms of ability in both music and the visual arts. Taurus lives a life of art — it literally is their life.
They make for the biggest fans, too. Taurus has no problem helping others along the way either, as they are a generous sign, filled with artistically minded people.
6. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Creative and crafty, Scorpio is one of the most driven of the signs when it comes to coming up with artistic ideas. They are attracted to the dark, the mystical and magical; they love fetish and glamour, latex, leather and rubber.
If you ever thought of getting into a lime green latex catsuit, there's a very good chance that catsuit was designed by a Scorpio.
