Capricorn is the most mature zodiac sign
Capricorns are the living embodiment of maturity. They know what they have to do to succeed, so they just buckle down and get on with it. While other zodiacs are liable to being swayed by their desire or lack of tenacity, Capricorns are ready to make the sacrifice. They see the big picture and as a successful zodiac sign, they also reap the rewards.
2. Cancer
Cancer is the perfect adult
Although Cancer has the stigmas of moodiness and dependence, it is without a doubt one of the most mature zodiacs. As people prone to bouts of insecurity, they understand how actions affect those around them, even if the effects aren’t visible. Their tact and the way they unapologetically bare their emotions indicates a high degree of maturity, especially emotionally.
3. Virgo
Virgo also makes good choices
This patient and intelligent zodiac sign is always prepared to play the role that no one else wants. Although they look at life and people very critically, Virgos are highly caring people who’re prepared to put the needs of others before their own. Their word is their bond, so you can expect a Virgo to follow through when they make you a promise. Virgos know what their shortcomings are and continually work on them, with perfection the goal.
4. Taurus
Taurus is always sensible
Taurus takes forth spot for maturity as the earth signs dominate this list. While this head-strong zodiac sign can be quite uncompromising on certain issues, Taurus are on the whole very mature people. Part of what makes them so stubborn is that they have a very clear idea of who they are and what they want. They stand for what they believe in, without forcing their opinions on you and are some of the most reliable people about.
5. Libra
Libra is very wise
As one of the most superficial zodiac signs, it would be untrue to say that Libras are mature in every sense of the word. With that being said, their natural inclination towards justice and equality gives them an innate degree of maturity in other ways. Libras aren’t afraid to take the unpopular position if it seems fair and are always willing to compromise if it means everyone is happy.
6. Aquarius
Aquarius is the epitome of maturity
While their inability to express their feelings most definitely constitutes as emotional immaturity, Aquarius is a highly thoughtful and progressive zodiac sign. Known as the rebels of the group, Aquarius only go against the tide when their own beliefs contradict popular opinion. The ability to stand by and defend your ideas in the face of constant opposition requires a great deal of maturity, especially when the issues often concern the wellbeing of others.
7. Pisces
Pisces is a mixed bag
This water sign is right around the middle of the pack in terms of maturity. It’s difficult to argue that Pisces isn’t both the most compassionate and emotionally-sensitive zodiac sign, two attributes which are clear indications of maturity. However, this insecure zodiac sign also takes all criticism straight to heart and quite often victimize themselves as a result. Their inability to objectively introspect and to take on constructive criticism means that calling them a mature sign might be a bit of a stretch.
8. Scorpio
Scorpio has an immature side
On first impressions, you would most likely believe that they are mature in every sense of the word – well Scorpios are known to be the most manipulative zodiac sign! The truth is that much of what they do is for their own benefit and this distrusting sign will rarely sacrifice their own gain for others. If you ever want a clear example of immaturity and entitlement, take a look at a Scorpio when they’ve been wronged, but maybe only from a safe place!
9. Leo
Leo struggles with maturity
Although Leos evidently have traits important to maturity, renowned as a generous and loyal zodiac sign, they find themselves low down on this list for the similar reason to Scorpio. Their biggest flaw is how entitled and egotistical they are, while they may not openly admit this. This is most clear after long periods of time around Leos, as hints of hypocrisy show themselves. There’s one set of rules for Leos and another for the rest of the kingdom.
10. Sagittarius
Sagittarius is a big kid!
As a deeply introspective and philosophical sign, in some regards Sagittarians are highly mature people. They fare slightly worse, however, in other interpretations of the word. This commitment-phobic zodiac sign does everything it can to stay in control of its freedom, which means that promises and guarantees come at a premium with Sagittarius. They’re just living their best lives and hope you can too, without depending on them too much though.
11. Aries
Aries isn't mature
There’s no doubt that Aries are great people to have in your life, notably for their confident and carefree natures, but they’re not exactly beacons of maturity. One of the most important aspects of maturity is being conscious of your environment and the people within it and Aries aren’t exactly known for their tact. Impatience and aggression are two traits central to this personality, sadly they’re equally mutually exclusive with maturity
12. Gemini
Gemini is the most immature sign
Geminis are the people that always wished they would never grow up and might even have cried on their 18th birthday. While their freedom is a bonus, Geminis aren’t big on the commitments that come with adulthood and try keep them to a bare minimum. As highly expressive and intelligent people, you get the impression after a while that they actively choose to avoid responsibility. In an ideal world we’d all have fun Gemini, but then nothing would ever get done!
