It takes all types to make a world, and thankfully, so much of what makes us interesting is in our individuality and personality. We all know people who "act" differently —people who have strange habits, or do things that might be considered nutty — are quirky and unique.
For the quirky zodiac signs in astrology, this personality trait sets them up against the rest of the mob. As an individual, if you're quirky, then you are remembered. It may not always be for good, but as they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
When we think of quirky people, we think of artists, eccentrics, millionaires. We think of oddball outfits and twitchy moves. That person who only eats white foods? Quirky. That person who absolutely refuses to do certain things, like brush their teeth? Quirky. And, of course, there's that person who must insist on bottled hydrangea water, herbed soap and no helmet for space travel — quirky, quirky, quirky.
What makes a person quirky is also what makes them stand out as an individual. Being quirky is nature's way of letting us know who among us is a true weirdo, and we all love an honest to goodness, true weirdo.
1. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio is just naturally quirky, and often times that's exactly where they end up professionally — taking on jobs that require eccentricity and oddball decisions.
Believe it or not, they aren't this quirky for attention; it's natural. They will sleep in that latex outfit, though they may film it for use at a later date.
2. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Never one to hold back, Aries will be the first one on the quirky list. They can't help being odd, nor do they ever want to help it. When Aries is quirky, it shows up as brilliant, exceptional, maybe even rude, but always top notch and excellent.
Yes, they may make a lot of silly faces while they present to you something amazing, but, hey, you'll be so knocked out with what they come up with that you won't mind.
3. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo is a grand quirk master... as long as you're paying attention. While they can be loony and humorous, which could lead you to think they're a bit quirky, the real quirk occurs because they think quirkiness is a cool trait to have.
It's also because they want you to think they're cool, and they'll put on the eccentric routine. They just want the attention badly enough.
4. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Here we have a sign that is both very social and very anti-social at once. They want to talk with you, but they don't.
How this brings out their quirks is in the extent Gemini will go through to avoid having anything to do with you. Out of nowhere, they'll simply just walk away, mid-sentence. Gemini expresses their quirky side by acting in terribly anti-social ways, just at the moment they want to be social.
5. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Stand out of the way, Taurus is in town! And that means whatever they want, they get, and they get it by being so dang weird that you'll be sold, no matter what they're selling.
Taurus is excitable, and excitable people tend to jump up and down a lot. Count on this sign for physical displays of quirkiness, and much jumping up and down.
6. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Ah, Sagittarius. The idiot of the signs. Well... not really. But the thing about Sagittarius is that they are so weird that you can't really tell if they're quirky, or if they're just insane. Sagittarius is the one who shows up to your non-costumed dinner party wearing the bunny suit. They just get it wrong time and time again.
But getting it wrong is also part of their quirked-out arsenal of actions. When they're not wrinkling their noses or biting their nails to the bloody stump, you can find them licking the walls to see if they taste better than the words in a book. Hmm... quirky.
